Our History

Queenie as she is affectionately called by her family and friends, traces her roots back to Bishopville, South Carolina.  Queenie the oldest girl out of fourteen siblings was left with no option but to start her culinary career ''by demand''. 

As an adult, while Queenie worked in the banking industry, she still found time to polish her cooking skills to provide wonderful meals for her family and special meal requests for many through out the community.  She retired in 2006 and moved to Louisville, Kentucky.

In March of 2009, when her son Tommy's ten year collegiate coaching career came to an end, both he and his mother decided to open the Queenie's Soul Cuisine.


So with the help of the LORD, their family and a handful of close friends, Queenie's was birthed.
